I, and the rest of my cohort in the 2013 MAOP program, am almost done!!
Yes, done done, with the WHOLE program- as everyone keeps asking, since it seems like I only just started! That’s the beauty of an accelerated program. The trade off is that there a lot of work to be done in such a short time. This is totally worth it to me, but requires dedication.
This week, we are writing our comprehensive final exam papers which cover material from the entire program.
Next week, we have to work on e-portfolios of our work from the program, to showcase our work and experience to potential employers. I’ve tried to stay organized the past 9 months to aid in this, and am so glad I did. I still have a few papers to track down, but organization has really helped!
I have some more work to do on my field project as well, which is 80 hours of work in the field that must be completed by all MAOP students. Luckily, I am doing mine at my full-time job and can dedicate some of my work time to the project.
Last, but not least, we have the Capstone project, a 25 page APA style paper (or an equivalent project), due February 11th.
We are in the home stretch of the program. I am so excited to be so near completion of my degree, though it is a little bittersweet. I’ll share some more reflections on the program over the next few weeks, but I’ll definitely be needing some of this to get me through:
I hope that you find some motivation in this classic rock as well! We could all use a little more oomph sometimes
Have a great weekend!
