Hola a todos! Ecuador is going well and we have already begun our volunteer work. I wanted to talk about a wonderful evening that was set up for us during our initial week. As part of our first week the Cynthia Lucero Foundation held a welcoming ceremony for our group. This particular foundation focuses on raising awareness for organ donations in Ecuador and has also provided scholarships for students who are currently studying in Guayaquil. During the ceremony, we were able to watch a video in celebration of the late Doctor Cynthia Lucero. Cynthia was a former student at MSPP, who unexpectedly passed away in 2002 after running the Boston Marathon. This video was deeply moving and truly touched each one of us. Cynthia’s parents, Martha and Enrique Lucero were also present during the ceremony. The Lucero’s have been continuously kind and generous since our arrival to Guayaquil. They were delighted to welcome us at the ceremony and we enjoyed being able to talk with them and their family and friends throughout the evening. Our group is so thankful for the support and inspiration the Lucero family has given to MSPP students each summer. The ceremony proved to be a success as many of our host families were present as well. It was a great evening filled with compassion and belief in the work we will be completing in the next four weeks. I know that Cynthia’s inspiration will continue to stay with us and I am looking forward to continuing to spend time with the Lucero family throughout the summer. Hasta Luego! Lisa

I was curious if you ever considered changing the structure of your site? Its very well written; I love what you’ve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. You’ve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?
Cheers,
Ethan
